More Than a Gila
The following is an excerpt from the interview with Mr. Gila Monster. It contains exclusive material that has not been released to the public.
[take one]
[Mr. Monster]: Is right here okay? Haha, sorry, I’m nervous. Do my scales look alright?
[producer]: Everything is perfect.
[Mr. Monster]: Okay. Is this thing rolling?
[producer]: nods
[Mr. Monster]: So, what do you want to know? Where do we start?
[producer]: How about the beginning?
[Mr. Monster]: Well, I supposed it all with movie, The Giant Gila Monster. You know, that black and white movie. Ever since then I haven’t had a moments rest. It’s always like “ew what is that?!” Or “watch out for the scary monster!”
[producer]: I imagine that would be hard to go through.
[Mr. Monster]: It was hard. Overnight I was stigmatized and made to be a villain. And the crazy part? It wasn’t even a Gila monster they used in the film. It was a Mexican Beaded Lizard!
[producer]: gasps No!
[Mr. Monster]: It’s true! And you don’t see them getting a bad rap.
